IP address
City Butler can obtain your e-mail address in various ways, for example when you request information via our website. In addition, anonymous data can be obtained that is linked to your Internet Protocol address (IP address). When you request a web page, it is necessary for the web server to know where to send the page. Your IP address is used for this. This is a sequence of numbers that is automatically assigned to your computer by your internet service provider every time you log in to the internet, so that your computer can be identified.
It is not possible for us to find out your identity on the basis of your IP address alone, unless you have provided it to us yourself. We can only determine that the receiving computer is located in a specific part of the country. The information linked to the IP address, such as searches and websites that have been visited, can therefore in principle not be traced back to you. This anonymous data can provide us with a picture of the behavior and interests of people who visit our websites.
Cookies
We also use so-called cookies to make our websites, products and services better match your wishes and preferences. A cookie is a small, simple file that is sent along with pages from this website (and / or Flash applications) and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer. City Butler only uses functional cookies for consumers. Tracking cookies are also used for business visitors based on the IP address. The information stored therein can be sent back to our servers on a subsequent visit. An example: when you fill in a registration form to participate in a meeting, you need to fill in your details. To speed up this registration procedure, we may place a cookie on the hard drive of your computer. When you next visit our website, it will recognize you as a customer. In that case it is not necessary for you to re-enter the required data. Of course, we will not use the information obtained from cookies to personally identify you. If you do not want cookies, you can indicate this on your first visit to the website. If you do not accept the cookies, this may have consequences for the functioning of the website. Alternatively, you can regularly delete the cookies that are stored on your computer.
Analytics
We use Analytics, so that we can research the habits, wishes and user behavior of our visitors. This allows us to tailor our websites better to the target group and better meet user demand. Thanks to Analytics, it is possible to keep track of how often a certain item is clicked and which pages on the website are performing well or can be improved.
A cookie from the American company Google is placed via our website as part of the 'Analytics' service. We use this service to keep track of and receive reports on how visitors use the website. Google can provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on this.
The information that Google collects is anonymised as much as possible. Your IP address is emphatically not provided. The information is transferred to Google and stored on servers in the United States. Google states that it adheres to the Safe Harbor principles and is affiliated with the Safe Harbor program of the US Department of Commerce. This means that there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.
Social media
Buttons are included on our website to promote ('like') or share ('tweet') certain web pages on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. These buttons work using pieces of code coming from Facebook and Twitter themselves. Cookies are placed through this code. We have no influence on that.
